Taking a Break....

I haven't posted in ages and I decided that I am going to take about a month off. There is a lot going on in the background so I need to rethink what I would like to be doing here.  I really enjoy blogging but I think it might be time to take a new direction and I hope to have a new blog direction (although it will probably have similar features) up in March. We'll have to see if time allows....

I hope that everyone is doing great and I think the month off means I can spend more time catching up on all the blogs I am seriously behind on - so I will see you all soon.

Taking a Break

I have to take the week off from my blog and other personal things as work is going to be crazy and I just can't keep up with everything else.

Feeling behind..

Ok.  So I am a little behind as in not posting at all so far this week. I have to say that I don't seem to have a lot on my topics this week but the following:

On November 1 & 2 the Day of the Dead celebrations begin at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas.

Books & Literature

Doris Lessing won the 2007 Nobel Prize for Literature.  I have had hear on my TBR pile for years.

I really should get pick up one of her books and begin that reading journey!

Music

So behind on new music. I will report more on that next week!

Random Cool and Damn, it's Almost Friday!

I haven't done much web surfing since I got back from holiday! Instead of trying to find something to blog about...I decided to change up the design a little. You might have noticed the new masthead and a little change in color. This was done on a whim so I am not sure that it will stay this way. It could be fun to change the masthead once a month with a new photograph just to keep things lively...but we will have to see. I am going to live with this one for a bit and keep tweaking the colors and it might just live here for a while!

For now, this photograph was taken in Honduras. My husband snapped the shot and I worked on the processing.  It is actually an image of me I was very happy with (I would much rather be behind the lens!). You can see the original, full-blown one here.

Short and sweet as we head into the weekend but I will be back with news and posts next week!

Catching up...

I am catching up with myself after being on holiday. It is really hard to get back into the groove of things.

I am working on photos from the trip and wow, there are a lot!

MIA

So, I have been away the past week and not posting. Life has been crazy.  A little trip to the emergency room had me spinning for a few days. Everything is OK but it really caught me off guard.

I am going to take a small break until next week. I can be thinking about my posts and getting ready for that but for now...I am going to be relaxing behind the scenes recharging my batteries.

For now, I will leave you with a cool site to visit.  A new online magazine geared towards women, Misstropolis. I have only skimmed through it but I can tell there will be some really great topics of interest.
